The Bluecoat Display Centre, situated in the heart of Liverpool, is a haven for enthusiasts of exquisite contemporary craft and design. Our friendly and knowledgeable team offer specialist help and advice to anyone wishing to purchase, commission or collect contemporary crafts.
The Bluecoat Display Centre has been selling and exhibiting the best of contemporary craft work for over 50 years from a broad variety of media. We currently represent over 300 makers per year and we continue to source new makers to the gallery. Both established and new makers are encouraged to apply for selection. All of our makers have been selected because of their individuality and skills.
To make an application you need to provide the following information:
- A current CV
- A selection of good quality images, acceptable formats include photographs, slides or CD rom (pc or mac compatible)
- A brief statement citing inspiration, technical details, materials and processes
- A price list quoting wholesale or retail prices
The selection committee meet every couple of weeks so you’ll be notified by post of their decision. If your application is successful the work will be exhibited on a three month trial sale or return basis. All work sold is paid for by monthly account.
Makers should ensure that if work is sold that you are in a position to provide regular stock replacements. For this reason student work is not accepted for application.
We positively aim to promote diversity, and welcome involvement from all sections of the community.
