It’s the most wonderful time of the year … to visit a craft fair!

If ever there was a time to support local selling events, makers and artists it’s NOW! Retail sales are continuing to drop, so our small businesses and event organisers need your support and presence this Christmas.

We have compiled a short round up of art and craft fairs taking place across the UK from now right up until Christmas, in alphabetical order. Find the ones near you you and support your local talent and businesses.

Artists & Makers Fair, Lewes – 3 & 4 December 2021

This is such brilliant, local Christmas shopping event that really gets you in the mood for the season.

Artists & Makers was started in 2003 by a parent at Western Road School in Lewes who wanted to raise money for the arts in the school. The Fair has grown enormously since its beginnings and is now a successful and prominent annual fixture in Lewes’ calendar. It is still organised by a small, dedicated group of Western Road parents.

The fair sells work of professional artists and craftspeople whilst maintaining the overall ethos that it is a fundraiser for the school and not corporate or overtly commercial. The café’s prices are reasonable, and the baked goods are made by parents at the school. There is a children’s art activity each year, and the entrance fee is kept low. The vibe is fun, friendly, creative and community-focussed
