Hi Matthew. I’ve checked out your map – you haven’t listed any of the 10 Potfest events around the country – quite important for ceramics. See https://potfest.co.uk/exhibit/

Crafterama is a fab one it’s more card craft but there are other artists stalls there too which do really well and make and take tables also!
Hi, a great list! You seem to have missed out Wales though? 😉
Artisan Events Wales provide several brilliantly curated events each year
Very useful listing, thank you. I have thought for a long time that we need a good quality directory of craft and design events around the UK – not just England and Wales – and that takes time to build I know. So important to have an assessment of the quality of the event for participants as well. Some smaller makers/artists may need to know about more local events as well, as the big ones are often seriously oversubscribed and difficult to get into when starting out.
I see you have an image of Potfest in the Pens but no info about the Potfest events which are amongst the most important ceramics shows in the UK. It’s particularly helpful for new potters to apply for the Pens events as these are not selected. I appreciate that the deadlines are passed for applications but if anyone is using this list for future reference it would be helpful to at least mention Potfest so that they are prepared to apply at the end of the year for 2027.
If there are any other events which have been omitted for similar reasons it would be helpful to know what they are.
Thank you again for this useful start to perhaps (?) an annual event 🤞😊
Hi Julie
Thanks for your comments. We have been compiling a list of the best design & craft events in the UK for a few years now. It’s very difficult for us to do an assessment to be honest, as we would need to visit them, we are just a team of two and this is for us a ‘service’ not a core part of our business (and we do not get paid for this!), and also what might be a good show for one maker might not necessarily be a good event for another maker. We ALWAYS recommend that makers do their own due diligence, especially as nowadays there are so many new shows around as well. And as you noticed it’s easier to do online then in a book as things change often last-minute.
Very helpful! Also check out Tea Green, they do high end design markets across Scotland:

A very friendly and professional small team running great events.
